What’s new

Mobile Schedule Slot Editor

Create new slots directly in the editor
You can now create new schedule slots from within the slot editor, instead of relying on separate flows or workarounds. This makes it easier to quickly fill gaps, add last‑minute coverage, or stand up new assignments as needs change during the week.

Clone existing shifts to speed up scheduling
We’ve added the ability to clone an existing shift. Rather than rebuilding similar shifts from scratch, schedulers can duplicate a shift and adjust only what’s different (such as date, employee, or minor timing changes). This is especially helpful for repeating patterns and high‑volume operations where many shifts share the same structure.

Delete slots with confidence
Deleting a slot is now a first‑class, streamlined action in the Main Schedule Slot Editor. When a shift is no longer needed, you can remove it cleanly, helping you keep the schedule accurate without leaving behind orphaned records or confusing “ghost” entries.

See punches directly from the Slot Editor
We’ve integrated time punches into the slot editor view, so schedulers and managers can quickly see how actual punches lined up with the scheduled shift—without jumping to separate timekeeping screens. This supports better conversations about attendance, punctuality, and pay exceptions, and reduces the back‑and‑forth between modules.

Consolidated comments and reasons for slots
Comments and “reason” fields for a slot are now consolidated into a single, clearer view. The editor also takes into account whether the viewer is an admin or a regular user, ensuring people see the right level of detail while reducing clutter. This makes it easier to understand why a change was made, who made it, and what context they left behind.

Richer schedule list details (shift group and vehicle)
Schedule list entries now show more of the information schedulers care about most, including:

  1. Date/time

  2. Shift type (Assigned, My Shift, Riders, etc.)

  3. Name and staff role (with rider flags where applicable)

  4. Shift Job and Shift Group

  5. Vehicle at Location

This added context helps quickly distinguish similar shifts, spot the correct assignment at a glance, and understand how each slot fits into the larger operational picture.

Rider and Admin Experience

Admin tools to manage riders and flags
From the admin side, we’ve expanded tools to view and edit student riders, including the ability to add or remove flags. This allows admins to manage manually added riders alongside those coming from the Rider Portal, and better control how riders are identified and tracked on schedules.

Mobile Time & Attendance

Overrun pay handling on clock out (mobile)
The mobile app now respects the “Determine Overrun Pay” setting configured in the web application. When that setting is enabled and an employee clocks out after their scheduled end time:

  • They’re prompted on mobile to decide how to treat the extra time (e.g., include as regular time, exclude it, or flag it as overrun).

  • When the setting is disabled, clock‑out behaves as usual, with no extra prompts.

This gives organizations finer control over how late punches are handled right at the point of clock‑out, reducing follow‑up work for timekeepers and payroll teams.

Security, privacy, and reliability

While v0.58.0 is primarily focused on usability and workflow improvements for scheduling and mobile, it also includes reliability fixes that help keep mobile experiences in sync and prevent “stuck” states (like spinners or stale calendar dots). These changes collectively make the system feel more responsive and trustworthy for end users.

Bug fixes

Mobile scheduling and events

Event links now open correctly on mobile
We fixed an issue where event links were not working on the mobile app. Tapping an event link now behaves as expected, taking users to the correct destination instead of leaving them stuck or forcing them to go back to the web.

Shift trade details spinner no longer stuck
On mobile, the Shift Trade Details page previously showed a spinner that would never dismiss, preventing users from reviewing trade details. We’ve corrected this behavior so that the page loads fully and the spinner goes away, restoring a smooth trade‑review experience.

Calendar dots refresh when a shift is deleted
Deleting a shift from mobile could leave behind a lingering dot on the calendar, suggesting there was still an event that no longer existed. The calendar now refreshes properly when a shift is deleted, so the dots you see accurately reflect the current state of the schedule.

What this means for us

  • Schedulers can build and refine schedules faster with create, clone, and delete capabilities right in the Main Schedule Slot Editor, plus richer contextual details and consolidated comments.

  • Managers and admins get better visibility into punches from within the slot editor and more control over rider management and flags.

  • Frontline staff see more reliable mobile behavior—event links that work, trade details that load, and calendars that stay in sync—as well as clear prompts when clocking out late in organizations that use overrun pay controls.

If you notice anything unexpected after upgrading to v0.58.0, please contact our dev team and mention this version number so we can assist quickly.
