What’s new

Scheduling & Time Off

More precise shift cloning with start, duration, and end time
We’ve added editable start time, duration, and end time fields to the clone shift page (VK‑5463, VK‑5464), so that you can create precise shifts—like a 9.5‑hour overnight—without doing manual time math. This makes it easier to copy complex shifts while keeping timing accurate and consistent.

Accurate duration for multi‑shift time‑off days
We’ve corrected how duration is calculated and displayed in the admin time off grid on days with multiple shifts (VK‑5257). Each row now reflects only the duration for that specific shift, so you can review and approve time off with confidence instead of double‑counting hours.

Cleaner long‑range scheduling with a dynamic max date
We’ve removed a hard‑coded date limit of 12/31/2030 in date validation and replaced it with a dynamic range that extends ten years into the future (VK‑5452). This makes it easier to support long‑term scheduling and new features that rely on future dates.

Schedule Manager shows the full 7‑day range
We’ve fixed an issue where Schedule Manager showed only 6 days when selecting certain ranges (03/03–03/08) (VK‑5513), so that what you select always matches what appears on the screen.

More reliable shift bidding logs
We’ve corrected how dates are handled when logging schedule events during bid submission (VK‑5475). This ensures bidcenter events log correctly without date errors, so bid activity is fully and accurately recorded.

Improved Rider Portal access and richer shift details for coordinators
We’ve resolved login and redirect issues that prevented some instructors/clinical coordinators from reliably accessing Rider Portal (VK‑5512). We also added more shift detail to the Rider Portal report—including preceptor job title, schedule job, shift group, and vehicle/unit number—so clinical coordinators can quickly find all information they need for accreditation and documentation.

Custom Stratford export aligned with complex pay rules
We’ve advanced work on a custom Stratford export (VK‑5450) so it can better support nuanced scenarios for holiday, overtime, regular, and time‑off hours. This helps payroll and finance teams get cleaner, more accurate exports that reflect client‑specific rules.

Mobile App Workflows

More dependable mobile punch‑out events
On mobile, we’ve hardened the punch‑out workflow and its surrounding components (VK‑5238, VK‑5470). Punch events are now less likely to stop halfway without the user knowing, and validation requirements are handled more reliably, so punch‑outs are recorded more consistently and with fewer manual corrections by admins.

Clearer timecard comments behavior when data is missing
We’ve improved how the system handles timecard comments when key identifiers are missing (VK‑5289). Instead of a vague failure, the system now responds more clearly, making it easier to understand what went wrong and to avoid silent failures that leave comments unlinked.

More reliable Rider Portal approvals from mobile
We’ve tightened validation for Rider Portal’s “Approve Request” events (VK‑5354) so required identifiers are handled more predictably. This reduces edge‑case errors when approving requests from the Rider Portal on mobile, helping schedulers process approvals smoothly.

Shift break logging for time‑off requests
We’ve updated how time off requests are logged when the underlying shift template includes a break (VK‑5451). Breaks are now recorded in time‑off history, so field time off aligns better with how shifts are configured and reviewed in schedules and payroll.

Stronger mobile Time Clock and punch components
We’ve updated Time Clock components used by the mobile app (VK‑5470) to use newer, more robust patterns. This under‑the‑hood work supports better stability and paves the way for additional improvements in mobile time tracking.

Reliable certificate downloads from mobile
We’ve improved the mobile certificate download flow to better handle inconsistencies between stored file paths and actual files on the file server (VK‑5287). Providers are now more likely to see a successful download instead of “file not found,” so they can access and present their certifications when needed.

Training, eLearning & Reporting

SCORM test‑drive restored for courses
We’ve fixed a platform issue that prevented admins from test‑driving SCORM courses (VK‑5494). You can once again launch SCORM test drives to review learner experiences before assigning training broadly.

Readable SMS notifications for e‑learning assignments
We’ve corrected encoding issues that caused appended SMS content for LMS assignments to arrive as jumbled or encoded strings (VK‑5422). Custom text you add to messages now appears clearly to recipients, improving communication and reducing confusion.

High‑volume certification report stabilized for audits
We’ve optimized Report #23 (VK‑5479) so it no longer times out when processing large amounts of data. This lets compliance and leadership teams run the report successfully for audits and high‑volume review, instead of relying on workarounds or partial data.

Onboarding available for new users without prior data
We’ve fixed a hard error in Onboarding that affected users with no prior onboarding instance data (VK‑5488). First‑time users can now access Onboarding without hitting a system error, so new implementations and new hires can get started without admin intervention.

Security, privacy, and reliability

Stronger privacy controls
While this release does not introduce a new user‑facing privacy control, we’ve improved how underlying systems handle data for mobile access, reporting, and integrations (e.g., Rider Portal access, file downloads, worker mail sync). These updates help ensure that the right people see the right information at the right time, and that sensitive operational data remains constrained to authorized workflows.

Improved stability and performance
We’ve made multiple under‑the‑hood updates to our platform and infrastructure, which help make the system faster, more reliable, and ready for future enhancements:

  • Restored and hardened external worker mail sync by renewing app passwords in both development and production (VK‑5517), reducing failures in email‑based workflows.

  • Integrated Sentry with the Ionic mobile app (VK‑5435), improving crash and error monitoring so we can identify and fix mobile issues more quickly.

  • Addressed several platform‑level errors in schedule logging, bidding, timecard comments, and onboarding queries (VK‑5475, VK‑5289, VK‑5488), reducing the likelihood of unexpected hard errors for end users.

What this means for us and our customers

  • Customers should see fewer surprises in day‑to‑day workflows—for example, mobile punches that fail silently, time‑off rows that double‑count hours, Rider Portal access that unexpectedly redirects, or reports that time out when they need them most.

  • It’s easier to trust what you see in the system—schedules align with shift templates, Rider Portal reports show more shift details, SCORM and certificates behave as expected, and text messages display the content you actually entered.

  • You benefit from a more secure and future‑ready platform, with improved monitoring on mobile, restored email integrations, and cleaner handling of dates, files, and onboarding data that reduces brittle edge cases over time.

If you notice anything unexpected after the release, please reach out to our product team and mention the release/20260310 version so we can help quickly.
